Right now I’m sitting in my broken-In rocking recliner listening to Arab pop on Spotify and typing this post on my phone because, quite honestly, I’m too tired to go get my laptop.
Before that I was taking a shower.
Before that I was eating a hastily made fried egg and turkey sausage patty English muffin.
Before that I was getting “hugs” and kisses from our dog Georgie who had been waiting for me to get home.
Before that I was on a grassy knoll between soccer fields, a parking lot, and a playground visiting with two of my closest friends. For the first time in over a month, and it was absolutely delightful.
Before that I was loading Wanda into the car to head to that grassy knoll.
Before that I was in a meeting explaining the steps of a project I hope we finish up ASAP.
Before that I was taking Wanda for a quick walk in the glorious sunshine.
Before that I was working.
Before that I was eating a pbj and wavy lays and, just like every other day, it was delicious.
Before that I was taking Wanda for a quick little walk. (She’s 14 1/2 so when I say quick I mean like one block).
Before that I was in a meeting.
Before that I was working.
Before that I woke up, ate my toast and drank my tea.
That was kind of a boring day for this format, but I’m on the struggle bus for writing inspo this year!!
I’d forgotten how much I like this format too! Saving in my Slicing Ideas 2021 doc for inspiration later this month. I feel like I’m flagging a bit with writing inspiration too.

I feel you on the struggle bus. My post was very short and dull, but better something than nothing. I’m going to jot down this “before that” format for tomorrow. I hope your inspiration hits you soon! Congrats on keeping up with the habit.

I love how it’s similar to the ever popular Currently. Parts of your day was very much like mine. I think at this point of the week we’re all tired. But good news: tomorrow is Friday. Take this weekend to relax and re-charge.

You’re doing ok. It’s the end of week 2. Thursdays are hard. Make yourself a list of potential subjects. Keep your eyes open. We are almost 1/2 way.

I love this format and always forget to use it! Thank you! I like days that are captured that it is just the regular stuff. Thank you for sharing.
