The first day: all those teenage faces staring at me, not quite eager. For me, so much to read and write and discuss. For them, so much to do: Dances, games, pep rallies, field trips. Bam! It’s May. Exams start next week.

Ha, SO TRUE! Like next week, the grass will be growing faster than the time will be moving. 🙂

Welcome! I wish that back in the day the school year flew by for me as it did for you! Haha.

I don’t think it did when I was a student. And time seems to keep going faster and faster as I get older!

Yes. Until right before Spring Break, and right after. We’ll be crawling for a while!

Oh, yes. I just saw that the third quarter ends for my youngest this week. What??? Of course the picture looks different from the parents’ end. 🙂

True, true! Some of my students feel that it’s gone fast and then others whine about how slow it’s been. It’s all relative!

For me, the school year flies once we hit Thanksgiving, and it only slows down in vacationless March.

Interesting. I think the fall flies by in general, and then spring crawls along as we look forward to any tiny break we can get (or we take two days off and go on a mini vacation like I did!) 🙂

The week before spring break is the only part of the school year in which time seems to stand still when you are teaching.

I hated when Easter was in late April and the kids (and teachers) slowly went bonkers waiting for that vacation.

I have a few teacher friends that say the same thing every year! Great vision into that world. ☺
