My Life

Glorious Spring Evening

I’m currently sitting on the deck, listening to A Man Called Ove and enjoying the slight breeze as it rustles the dead leaves in the trees. Soon they’ll be replaced by beautiful green leaves.

Georgie is in “his chair” with his eyes squinted toward the lowering sun.

I can see tiny buds on some of the trees and the Dogwood tree across the street is in full bloom. It’s absolutely gorgeous.

Over the past week and a half, I’ve been able to work out on the deck several times, take Wanda for short walks in the sunshine (ten minutes or less–she can’t make it any further). Definitely a WFH perk.

That’s it. That’s my post for today. I’m just going to continue to sit here and soak up this beautiful evening. I hope you’re able to do the same, if not today then very soon!

  1. That tree! I don’t have a ton of energy for house projects these days, but one I’m determined to do this spring is create a space to sit outside and read and write. All I need are new cushions for my porch furniture and I’m ready to go! I also love the simplicity of this moment–a perfect little slice.

  3. I love the pictures and simplicity here – thank you! I took a wonderful deep breath while reading your post. We recently discovered my son loves those swing bench chair things (?!), and we are talking about buying one to put outside. I need to go out there more, and I know I would love writing in beautiful weather. Enjoy your evening! šŸ™‚

  4. Your post makes me excited for spring. I long to sit outside to read and write. We still have snow on the ground, but the temps will be rising this week. Thank you for the beautiful pictures that brightened my day.
