I am so excited to be joining the July blogging challenge at Bigtime Literacy! I loved the SOL challenge in March from Two Writing Teachers, and since then it’s been hard for me to be consistent, so hopefully this month I can do a lot better.
Today, I’m using the prompt “Currently” which you can find out more about here and here.
Listening
Well, right this minute I’m listening to our new puppy, Georgie, barking and whining because he’s in his kennel. He should be asleep soon, but he’s not super happy at the moment.
In other listening news, I love music and listen to it all the time. My tastes are quite eclectic: my playlists range from old school country (think Conway and Cash), to bagpipes and fiddles, to Arabic music, to modern pop and hip hop with all kinds of stuff in between. At the moment though, I’m completely obsessed with the following songs: “Lost Boy” by Ruth B, “One Dance” by Drake, “Cheap Thrills” by Sia, and “Don’t Let me Down” by The Chainsmokers and Daya. I love music and listen to it all the time.
Loving
Summer! I just got home from a trip to Michigan to visit family, I’ve got two weeks to relax and do some school work, and then we’re off to Antigua for a week. How can I not be loving summer??
Thinking
I’m thinking that I forgot how much work it is to raise a puppy. We are being much more diligent with this pup, so it takes a lot more energy. Turns out it is way more work to be a “good parent”! (Maybe explains why so many parents just let their kids do whatever they want.)

Wanting
I want to relax. This has not been my most relaxing summer so far, and I’m worried that when we head back to school in–gulp–a month, I won’t feel well-rested.
Needing
I need to clean the blinds. My least favorite job. Ugh.
Truth
I have been super lazy. I had several goals for this summer, which I wrote about here, but I have really been slacking on pretty much all of them. I need to get it together!
Thanks Bigtime Literacy for hosting this challenge! 🙂
Looks like the dogs are warming up a little to the puppy! Should be easier then.

Training a puppy is hard work… that’s why I have a cat! Have fun in Antigua. My friends and I are planning a tropical trip for next summer!
