Droll.
I have misunderstood this word for the better part of thirty years. It wasn’t until Howard on the Big Bang Theory told Sheldon’s sister that she was delightfully droll, that I finally knew what it meant. Cue light bulb!
Prior to this epiphany, I thought it meant something negative, like dull. That’s probably just because it sounds kind of like dull. Way to use your vocabulary deciphering skills, Kristy!
But you know what I love? That I learned the meaning of a word from one of my favorite TV shows. While vegging out, I learned.
What else could we learn if we were always ready for a lesson?
I’m trying to write for 31 days straight with the Slice of Life challenge from Two Writing Teachers.
Well said. There is so much to be gained from an open mind and attitude!

Learning requires an inquisitive mind.
That’s one of my favorite TV shows too. I enjoy watching reruns from past seasons.
